Revisiting the 1988 Seoul Olympics, Diadora have pulled off an all-time PB, collaborating with the best sneaker stores in the world to deliver their own unique interpretations of Olympic spirit. ‘From Seoul to Rio’ unites both sides of the Atlantic in one epic, creative marathon. The Euro crew embraces the IC4000 model and consists of 24 Kilates (Barcelona), Hanon (Aberdeen), Patta (Amsterdam) and Solebox (Berlin). Representing the US of A are Concepts (Boston), Kith (NYC) and Packer Shoes (NYC). All three US stores have added their finesse to the Intrepid runner.
The IC4000 was designed specifically for running on asphalt and featured Impact Control cushioning and Vibrassorb inserts. The Intrepid is another long-distance hauler, with polyurethane wedges and stabilisers offering a first class ride. Both Diadora runners made their debut at the Seoul Olympics. Looking at all seven shoes up close, a smorgasbord of sporting inspiration is revealed, including nods to period-correct fashion trends, Olympian symbolism and one particularly controversial moment of athletic achievement.
